In a major move to enhance the platform, Instagram has announced that creators can now connect multiple Reels in a series.

The Meta-owned social network revealed that the new capability, which is already available on TikTok, makes it simple for viewers to follow and discover related content.

It is worth noting that now, if a creator is telling a story in a series of videos and follow-ups, they can link them all together so that viewers don’t have to scroll or search for different parts.

With Instagram’s new feature, creators can manage related Reels so viewers can follow along easily. According to Instagram, creators can link Reels together when adding captions or by tapping the overflow menu in previously shared Reels.

After a creator links Reels together in a series, users will be able to navigate to the next reel using a new button located at the bottom left of the reel.

“The new feature was highly requested and it will allow for richer storytelling while also keeping audiences engaged longer, which could lead to increased watch time,” Instagram stated.

With the new feature, Instagram aims to offer creators a valuable tool to keep their content organised and engaging.

Viewers, in turn, benefit from a smoother experience while discovering and following series-based content.
