YouTube Music is marking its tenth anniversary with a new feature for music fans worldwide. The app has launched taste match playlists, a new feature for friends and family to share songs and explore music together.
Similar to Spotify Blend, the taste match playlists all update every day, on a rolling basis, based on the combined listening habits of the individuals that join any of those streams.
For those who enjoy streaming music, this update will offer even more enjoyment from YouTube Music.
The taste match playlists will update daily, offering a mix of tracks that change based on how everybody in the group listens to their tracks.
Based on these shifts, you could find your favourite artist sitting next to something your friend plays on repeat that you've never heard of before.
It will not only be about streaming music anymore, musical bonding and connecting and sharing tastes will be built. This will make YouTube Music users have a more social and enjoyable experience.
However, that's not it for the updates. YouTube Music will also allow listeners to leave comments on playlists and albums directly; this will create the ability to connect and get close to each other's listening choices. And interestinly, YouTube Music is expanding its live music offerings.
