Apple may have just impressed fans with the ultra-slim iPhone Air, but the company’s first foldable iPhone could push the boundaries even further.

Reportedly, the upcoming iPhone Fold will measure just 4.5–4.8 mm when unfolded, making it slimmer than the already sleek 5.6 mm iPhone Air.

The iPhone Fold's thickness when folded will be approximately between 9 and 9.5 mm, comparable to the thickness of the iPhone 17 Pro. This is a pocketable form factor that folds out into a streamlined, futuristic display.

Analysts speculate that the iPhone Fold may be Apple's most audacious design to date with its official acceptance into the foldable smartphone market, creating a direct competitor with Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold series and Huawei's Mate X series.

However, for Pakistani buyers, the main challenge may be pricing. Current non-PTA-approved iPhone 17 Air models can fetch up to Rs396,000, while official units start just above the Rs210,000 mark.

The iPhone Fold will likely have a premium asking price, but Apple designers have a good eye; there is something about their sleek aesthetic that keeps users engaged and excited.
