AI-driven gadgets have seen a substantial boom over the past few years, resulting in the production of devices like the Humane AI pin, the Rabbit R1, and many more, but unfortunately, most of them seem to have fallen short of gaining traction and momentum among end users for countless factors.

One of the most significant factors is the lack of potential AI components (or AI hardware) integrated into those devices, which botched the attempts of the leading AI juggernauts.

However, this appears to be on the brink of altering since former Apple design chief Jony Ive has reportedly teamed up with OpenAI to develop a new AI-backed hardware.

For those unaware, Jony Ive has been the driving force behind Apple's unmatched designs of the iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, and other Apple devices under Steve Jobs.

As for the kind of AI device in question, earlier rumours brought to light that this AI device is expected not to resemble a smartphone, according to Android Authority.

Regarding the AI model powering the AI-run gadget, OpenAI's ChatGPT is said to be propelling it, which is no surprise considering OpenAI being involved.

The publication added that the project currently employs only 10 masterminds, with Ive at the helm of it while indulging in raising venture capital to uplift the project. It is expected that the project will have secured $1 billion in funds by 2024.
