Latest petrol price in Pakistan from January 16

Finance Division statement does not indicate any changes to prices of light diesel oil or kerosene oil

The government of Pakistan on Wednesday announced a hike of Rs3.47 per litre in the price of petrol for the next fortnight of January 2025, bringing the new rate to Rs256.13 per litre.

According to a notification issued by the Finance Division, the price of high-speed diesel (HSD) also been jacked up from Rs258.34 to Rs260.95 after an increase of Rs2.61.

The updated prices of all petroleum products are effective from midnight today (January 16).

In the previous fortnightly review, the government had raised the petrol price per litre by Rs0.56, taking the price to Rs252.66 in Pakistan.

"The Oil & Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has worked out the consumer prices, based on the price variations in the international market," the statement issued by the Finance Division.

Notably, the prices of petroleum products are adjusted every 15 days in Pakistan according to the trend of global oil prices and the rupee’s exchange rate to the dollar.
