Pokémon Legends: Z-A, the new open-world game in the Pokémon series, will take players back to Lumiose City in an advanced, futuristic setting.

The game is rumoured to bring back Mega Evolutions, and one leaked addition is turning heads, including Mega Zygarde.

Game Freak hasn't officially confirmed the leak, but fans are still pumped to see Zygarde finally get recognition. There are already a lot of questions about Mega Zygarde, especially regarding Zygarde's various forms and complex mechanics of evolution.

According to leaks, Mega Zygarde will be the only Legendary Pokémon in the game to get a new Mega form. Rumour has it that previous Mega Legendaries, like Rayquaza, Latios, and Latias, have all been cut from the game, so Zygarde's role has never been more important.

Zygarde has been overshadowed in previous games even though it is part of the Gen 6 Legendary trio. Neither Pokémon X and Y nor Sun and Moon ever really did justice to Zygarde.

However, Legends: Z-A could give Zygarde a more pivotal role in the story, presuming, that it's Mega Evolution doesn't ruin this opportunity.

Zygarde’s forms could complicate Mega Evolution

Zygarde has three forms: 10% Forme, 50% Forme, and Complete Forme, which depend on how many Zygarde Cells players collect. If only one form can Mega Evolve—likely the Complete Forme—it could mean players must find every single cell, which might be frustrating.
