In a significant effort to improve Copilot's AI assistant, Microsoft has removed payment barriers for two advanced features. The American tech giant confirmed that all the users are now allowed to enjoy limitless access to cutting-edge Voice and Think Deeper capabilities without any subscription charges.
Think Deeper feature utilises OpenAI’s o1 model
The Voice feature allows free conversations with the AI assistant, which was launched to Copilot in October 2024. Meanwhile, Think Deeper was specially designed to manage complex tasks such as evaluating the pros and cons of the leading household purchases while considering both long-term value and immediate prices.
In a blog post, Microsoft stated: “We are working hard to scale unlimited access to advanced features to as many people as possible, as quickly as possible.”
While warning the users accessing these complimentary features, the company cautioned the free Copilot features are likely to face performance issues during peak demands.
However, Microsoft also confirmed that Copilot Pro subscribers will maintain privileged status. Subscribers will persistently get priority access to Microsoft’s cutting-edge AI models during busy schedules.
Moreover, Pro subscribers will receive exclusive rights to experimental features that are currently under development. This approach enables Microsoft to balance broader accessibility while preserving gifts for premium subscribers, balancing between free and paid service labels even as core functionality becomes more accessible.
