It's not been long since Microsoft announced its Surface ARM laptops at the Microsoft Build 2024 event held earlier this year in May, but too long since they disappeared from the scene.

Microsoft Surface laptops vs MacBook Pro

Benchmark evaluations and hands-on inspections have cleared away the grey area around their comparative capabilities, proving that the Microsoft Surface ARM laptops are a formidable contender against the MacBook Air, with the exception of last year’s MacBook Pro models.

The benchmark inspections revealed that the Snapdragon X Elite-powered devices deliver more impressive performance than the ones powered by both Intel and AMD.

Microsoft Arm PC vs M3 MacBook Air

Coming to the bout between Microsoft Arm PC and M3 MacBook Air, ARM-powered Surface laptops easily outclass the M3 MacBook Air in terms of performance. This was claimed by the company itself back in April at the time of the revelation of these devices.

Citing sources, 9to5Mac reported that a holistic benchmark assessment showed that the latest Microsoft Surface laptops outrun the MacBook Air, and without any challenging functions running at hand. The same is the case for the entire Windows laptop lineup powered by the same chip, including different variants from prominent contenders in the sphere like Dell, Lenovo, Acer, and Samsung.
