The Rawalpindi Traffic Police have set the schedule for their mobile driving licence vans for the current week in an effort to expedite the driving licence application process and provide services closer to the public.

The project seeks to lessen the difficulties locals, especially those who live in remote areas, encounter when trying to obtain driving licence services.

The mobile van will be positioned at different points throughout the district in accordance with the schedule.

The van arrived at Scut village in Tehsil Kallar Syedan on Tuesday.

While on Wednesday, September 3, it will arrive at Kuri Dolal village in Tehsil Gujar Khan.

After that, on Thursday, September 4, the mobile licence van will be accessible in Raja Bazar, close to Fawara Chowk, and on Friday it will be available at Jhawara Picket, Dhamial Camp.

As part of its weekly routine, the van will continue to serve local residents on Saturday, September 6, at Gulzar-e-Quaid on Old Airport Road.

Special licence tests for rickshaw drivers will be held at the Old Waran Depot in Saddar on Sunday, September 7, to mark the end of the weekly campaign.

"By reaching citizens directly in their neighbourhoods, the initiative aims to ease public access to driving licence services, relieving the need for lengthy waits at traffic offices," officials stated.

Many residents are anticipated to benefit from this proactive action taken by the Rawalpindi Traffic Police, especially those who have trouble getting to the traffic offices because of distance or other limitations.
