In a bid to facilitate citizens, the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has launched a new service centre in Karachi, aimed at enhancing access and reducing the burden on Pakistanis seeking identity-related services.
DG NADRA Sindh Amir Ali Khan inaugurated a new NADRA registration facility at the Public Centre in Karachi.
Notably, the centre is designed to offer faster and more efficient services to citizens requiring Computerised National Identity Cards (CNICs) and related documentation.
DG NADRA Sindh also announced the establishment of two additional NADRA mega centres in Karachi, as these centres will help manage the city’s growing demand for identity services.
“Support stations, referred to as “madadgaar” setups located outside existing mega centres, will be upgraded to executive status to ensure a more streamlined experience for visitors.”
DG NADRA requested that the public install NADRA’s official mobile application, Pak-ID, which enables users to renew identity documents, complete biometric verification, and access various other NADRA services directly from their homes.
With an upgrade in services, NADRA aims to reduce in-person visits and bring more convenience, especially to those living in remote or underserved areas.
According to NADRA officials, the new initiatives are anticipated to facilitate millions, particularly residents who lack direct access to NADRA offices.
By combining physical infrastructure with digital solutions, NADRA aims to enhance overall service delivery and citizen engagement.
