Neem has launched Neem Paymenow, a Shariah-compliant earned wage access (EWA) solution, in Pakistan which is designed to provide financial relief for salaried segment of the Pakistani society.

The South Africa-based financial wellness solution has been introduced at a time when the country's economic challenges are pushing the salaried class, specifically the frontline workforce, into debt cycles.

Neem Paymenow: Timely solution for Pakistan's salaried workforce

"Many employees we spoke to often had to borrow from friends, family, or high-interest loan sharks due to a lack of alternatives and no access to their earned wages," stated Neem Paymenow director Niran Rehman.

“Through this initiative, the company's objective is to support employees and improve the financial health and well-being of the companies that employ this segment of our society,” Rehman added.

Designed to support Pakistan’s frontline workforce, the Shariah-compliant solution provides timely, responsible access to their earned wages before payday.

It allows employees to withdraw up to 40% of their salary as a debt-free alternative to traditional financial options.

Moreover, Neem Paymenow also includes infotainment-based financial education modules that cover essential topics, including savings, budgeting, and fraud prevention.

However, to ensure it reaches a broader audience in Pakistan, the company has made this platform available in both Roman Urdu and English languages.
