OnePlus has introduced new AI capabilities to its OnePlus 12 and OnePlus 11 models through the latest ColorOS updates. The Chinese smartphone manufacturers now offer new AI features. The information regarding the availability of these features is still not confirmed.

According to Gadgets360, the OnePlus 12 (PJD110_14.0.0.405-CN01) and OnePlus 11 (PHB110_14.0.0.403-CN01) are now equipped with Android 14-based ColorOS 14, providing support for three AI-powered features.

The AIGC Remover tool enables users to eliminate people and objects from photos. Additionally, the phones can extract key details from articles and generate AI summaries. While these updates are currently exclusive to users in China, global versions of the phones run on OxygenOS 14.

The AI Summariser tool on the OnePlus 12 and OnePlus 11 can generate AI summaries by extracting times, places, and action items from calls. The Breeno Touch app, which offers information and services based on on-screen content, has also been enhanced.

However, specific details about the added capabilities have not been disclosed. Notably, these AI features are not yet available on global models that operate on OxygenOS 14.

In addition to the AI features, Chinese users of the OnePlus 12 and OnePlus 11 will gain the ability to unlock the phone without waking the screen and control QQ Music playback with the always-on display feature enabled.

The updates also introduce a "device motion and orientation" permission, preventing apps from recognising the device's orientation or shaking. Users will be notified of ongoing screen recordings through a floating window or a status bar indicator.

OnePlus has not provided information on the potential availability of these features for users in global markets, including India. Given that global models use OxygenOS 14, it remains uncertain when these AI capabilities will be extended to all users. Samsung recently announced that select older models would receive the same Galaxy AI features introduced with the Samsung Galaxy S24 series.
