The development follows OpenAI’s recent launch of its research agent earlier this month. Moreover, Google unveiled a similar feature for its Gemini AI platform in December 2024.

The “Deep Research” tool enables users to conduct extensive research and receive comprehensive answers to complex queries within a few minutes.
This innovative tool is also skilled at handling expert-level queries across various domains, including finance, marketing, and product research.
The research tool utilises advanced AI algorithms to get through vast amounts of data, providing detailed responses that would usually require hours of manual research.
Notably, the feature showcased impressive performance on industry benchmarks, outperforming several other models.
How to use Perplexity AI's Deep Research tool?
To use Deep Research, users can access the feature on the Perplexity AI website by navigating to "Deep Research" from the mode options in the search box.
The feature is currently available to all users, with free accounts allotted up to five queries per day and Pro users benefiting from an expanded limit of 500 queries daily.
