Part of its broader vision to ensure widespread eco-friendly mobility across the province, the Punjab government has launched its first-ever E-Taxi Scheme.

Punjab E-Taxi Scheme 2025 deadline and application procedure
Those interested in the e-taxi scheme can apply online at e-taxi.punjab.gov.pk. It must be noted that the last date to apply for Punjab's E-Taxi Scheme 2025 is October 5, 2025.
Providing 1,100 electric taxis to eligible applicants in the initial phase, the scheme will not only help reduce air pollution and fuel costs, but will also create job opportunities and modernise Punjab’s urban transport system.
The project follows a financing arrangement for electric vehicles (EVs) established by the provincial government. Under this plan, banks will offer loans of up to Rs6.5 million to buy EVs, and those buying will benefit from a subsidised down payment, while the government will cover the interest on the loans.
For EVs priced between Rs4m and Rs10m, the Punjab government will contribute Rs585,000 as a down payment, and the remainder will be financed through partner banks.
The E-Taxi Scheme is expected to modernise Punjab's transport infrastructure while nurturing a cleaner environment for citizens.
