Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has initiated the next phase of her signature Hunarmand Jawan Program, which aims to equip Punjab with digital skills and promote self-reliance.
She congratulated the 1,600 deserving students who gained admission following a challenging online assessment and interviews, referring to them as the “future of a skilled Punjab.”
"Congratulations to the 1,600 meritorious students who secured their spot after a rigorous online test & interviews. Crucially, these students will receive international certifications from globally recognised partners like Microsoft, Meta, Adobe & Cisco."
She said: "It gives me immense pride to launch the next phase of the 'Maryam Nawaz ka Hunarmand Jawan' Programme! This initiative is central to our vision for a digitally empowered Punjab.
"This phase offers FREE advanced IT courses in high-demand fields: Artificial Intelligence, Cyber Security, Data Analytics, Digital Marketing, Graphic Design, Database Administration (DBA), CRM Fundamentals & more, available across 64 TEVTA institutes.
A significant feature is the international certification granted at the end of the course, made possible by collaborations with global tech giants like Microsoft, Meta, Adobe, and Cisco.
Nawaz stated that the programme demonstrates the government’s strong dedication to empowering youth and fostering economic development, highlighting that a digitally skilled workforce is crucial for driving innovation and attracting investment.
She stressed, “We are cultivating a skilled and self-reliant Punjab,” reiterating her vision of transforming the province into a centre of digital talent and opportunities.
