Given an overwhelming rise in the demand for artificial intelligence (AI) and cybersecurity skills, the Pakistan Freelancers Association (PAFLA) has launched an extensive training programme for science graduates in AI and cybersecurity across major cities in Balochistan.
The AI and cybersecurity courses in Balochistan are introduced in collaboration with Innovista and the National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC).
This initiative will reportedly empower 20,000 youth through online and local training sessions in Sibbi, Turbat, Khuzdar, Panjgur, and Gwadar.
Aspirants of AI and cyber security courses in Balochistan will receive specialised training, mentorship, certification, and career guidance to help them professionally enter Pakistan's growing digital economy.
During a recent visit to Innovista in Quetta, State Minister for Education Wajeeha Qamar announced that the government is planning to establish various technical training institutions in Balochistan to enhance the province's human capital.
The minister also stressed the need to equip youth with digital skills to contribute to the digital economy.
The training will provide participants with hands-on experience in AI applications, machine learning, data analytics, and cybersecurity.
The goal is to create a thriving freelancing ecosystem, enabling young, talented people to secure remote work opportunities in international markets and top IT firms in Pakistan.
PAFLA Chairman Ibrahim Amin said the programme will unlock the potential of Balochistan’s youth, while Innovista CEO Chaghi Imran Touquir stressed the transformative power of quality tech education.
With over 2.8 million youth in the province, this collaboration serves as a vital step toward digital empowerment and skill development in Pakistan's evolving technology landscape.
