Samsung has officially confirmed that new Galaxy foldable phones will launch in the second half of 2025 with improved design, better durability, and a wider range of options.
This announcement came during the company’s Q4 2024 earnings call, where Samsung executives discussed their future mobile plans.
Samsung to launch new foldable
According to reports, Samsung's upcoming foldable phone aims to compete with thinner and more refined models from rival brands. The company also hinted at a more affordable foldable phone, possibly the rumoured Galaxy Z Flip FE.
If launched, it could be the first budget-friendly foldable in the Galaxy Z lineup. Leaks suggest it may have the same chipset as the Galaxy S24 and a display similar to the Galaxy Z Flip 6.
Reportedly, several rumours confirmed that the 2025 foldable lineup will bring major improvements. While the Galaxy Z Fold 7 may not see drastic changes, the company’s mention of a “diversified lineup” supports speculation about a new affordable model. If the Galaxy Z Flip FE debuts, it could make foldable phones more accessible to a larger audience.
Samsung also revealed that Galaxy AI features will soon expand beyond flagship models. Currently, these AI-powered tools are exclusive to premium devices, but in 2025, mid-range and budget Galaxy A-series phones may also benefit from these features.
