Despite its rollout to the top-tier flagship Galaxy lineups, tech giant Samsung has halted its new One UI 8 software update for its second-best Galaxy.

However, the rollout of the latest One UI software update hasn't entirely gone to plan. It's just that the tech giant has paused after briefly pulling the update for the Galaxy S22 series earlier this week.

Citing sources, Android Police noted that Samsung has removed the One UI 8 firmware for the Galaxy S24, S24+, and S24 Ultra from its servers in South Korea. There’s no explanation behind doing so, and whether this will affect other regions or not.

If you’ve been waiting to install the new One UI 8 update as the Galaxy S24 holder, it would be better if you hold off a little longer. The rollout began in late September, so it’s unusual for Samsung to pull the plug now, meaning something unexpected has occupied the Galaxy maker.

While no major problems have been reported so far, Samsung seems to be acting cautiously, given that tipsters are assuming the issue to be region-specific, as One UI 8 updates for the Galaxy S22 (except the Ultra model) have been resumed in other markets.

But fret not, the good news is that most users haven’t experienced serious bugs, and complaints are minimal. If the S22’s quick recovery is anything to go by, the S24 update could be back online soon.
