In an unfortunate development, Samsung is rumoured to have skipped making an upgraded iteration of the Galaxy S25 Edge, the Galaxy S26 Edge, due to the low sales of the original.

That said, the Galaxy maker's ambitious foray into the ultra-thin and lightweight smartphone market appears to have gone in vain in the wake of the alleged cancellation of the Galaxy S26 Edge.

Despite launching with a sleek design aimed at competing with Apple’s rumoured iPhone Air, the aesthetic Galaxy S25 variant failed to meet sales expectations.

Reports circulating on the internet suggested that Samsung has decided to cancel the Galaxy S26 Edge just five months after the S25 Edge's debut because of the disappointing sales, likely ending the Edge series.

Leakers like Ice Universe and OnLeaks have also validated the reports, with the latter expressing certainty that the S26 Edge is “definitely gone.”

The handset reportedly sold only 1.31 million units globally, remaining far below its counterparts. In comparison, the standard Galaxy S25 sold 8.28 million units, and the S25 Ultra reached 12.18 million units.

In the wake of poor sales, Samsung has chosen to focus on its traditional models, Galaxy S26, S26 Plus, and S26 Ultra, for the upcoming release.

Reports also outlined that the S25 Edge will remain available until stocks run out, but it will not be restocked.

Since a confirmation is still pending from Samsung, Galaxy enthusiasts are advised to treat these reports with caution.
