The Galaxy maker is set to showcase its first trifold smartphone at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit 2025 later in October in South Korea.
Since the smartphone space seems to be saturated with foldable phones, a tri-fold is what it takes to stand out in the crowd, and this is what Samsung has in store for the upcoming APEC Summit 2025 later this month.
While being a standard one, Samsung's purported tri-fold phone is said to be capable of transforming into a larger tablet when fully unfolded, thanks to its two hinges.
The APEC summit, hosted in Gyeongju, stands as an ideal platform for Samsung to showcase its engineering prowess and cutting-edge technology to world leaders and dignitaries.
The South Korean tech tycoon will present the trifold phone at a special exhibition highlighting advanced Korean innovations, a bid to shine as a leading contender in the realm of smartphone development.
Rumour has it that Samsung's first tri-fold will not be open for hands-on experience, but visible enough to catch a glimpse of it. Its commercial launch is expected later this year.
