The Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) announced the temporary suspension of gas supply in different areas of Hassan Abdal on Wednesday, due to the shifting of a Town Border Station (TBS).
According to an official notification by the company, the gas supply will be suspended from 9:00am to 6:00pm due to vital maintenance activities and relocation work. The company, by notifying too, has stated the interruption has been planned, and is necessary for system safety and future service reliability.
Affected areas include Wah Garden Pul GT Road to Hassan Abdal City, Choha Shah Ghareeb, Model Town Phase-III, Abbottabad Mor Hazara Road to KSB Industry, and neighbouring localities.
Residents and businesses in these areas have been advised to make other arrangements regarding their needs and to be cautious when using gas appliances after the supply is resumed.
SNGPL also offered apologies for the inconvenience and appreciated cooperation during the temporary stoppage of gas supply. They stated that maintenance is part of ongoing upgrades for infrastructure to improve the safety and reliability of their gas distribution network across the Islamabad region.
