Telenor Velocity Innovation Challenge 2025: GrowthTech services wins with innovative agritech solution

Telenor Velocity’s Innovation Challenge 2025 ended on a great note, outlining innovative agritech solutions set to revolutionise farming across the country. The competition is aimed at promoting innovation and driving excellence in agriculture through digital technology. 

The event brought together several promising startups working to address the industry’s key challenges.   

The Innovation Challenge 2025 judges’ panel included industry experts such as TiE Islamabad Executive Director Sumera Abbasi and Fasieh Mehta, National Technology Fund and Ignite-MOITT General Manager Bilal Abbasi, Telenor Pakistan Senior Vice President of Marketing and Digital Ahsan Maykan. The panel assessed all the innovative startups depending on their potential to revolutionise the entire agriculture industry in Pakistan. 

After an evaluation, GrowthTech Services won the title, securing the prize of rupees one million for their pioneering solution to improve efficiency and drive innovation. Other finalists included AI Smart Farming, Agrivoice Buddy and Agro AI for their innovative and tech-savvy approach to improving efficiency and attaining sustainability in farming. 

Telenor Pakistan CEO Khurrum Ashfaque praised GrowthTech Services for accomplishing a milestone and cheered all the finalists for their great solutions.

He stated that agriculture is the backbone of Pakistan’s economy, and increasing yields and profitability remains a global challenge. With the Innovation Challenge 2025, we aim to explore new technologies and solutions, especially AI-driven initiatives which can point towards more sustainable growth in this area.”
