Tesla introduced a new long-range variant of its electric truck, the Cybertruck, in the United States at $69,990. The Cybertruck is an electric pickup truck engineered for toughness, durability, and futuristic design. It is aimed at individuals seeking a combination of utility and green driving.

As stated by Tesla's site, this latest model is the cheapest of the three Cybertruck models currently for sale.

The "Long Range" model goes as far as 350 miles on a full charge, or 100 more miles than the previous rear-wheel drive model. Electric pickup trucks in the United States are increasingly in demand, and Tesla hopes that this latest addition will make its Cybertrucks more desirable.

Although it provides the greatest range so far, this model has a less complex suspension setup and fewer amenities than the top-of-the-line models. Nevertheless, it costs almost $10,000 more than the base rear-wheel drive version.

The Cybertruck has had a bumpy beginning since its late-2023 release. It has encountered several quality control problems, and U.S. safety regulators recently recalled nearly all units sold because of issues with the vehicle's exterior panels.

Despite the setbacks, Tesla is still moving ahead to enhance the Cybertruck series.
