In a significant move, TikTok has officially launched a new search guide designed to facilitate users in Pakistan to access authoritative and up-to-date information during the ongoing monsoon flood season.
TikTok revealed on July 29, 2025, that the guide will provide verified information to counter misinformation trends surrounding natural disasters.
Users searching for flood-related updates on TikTok will now view a clear banner urging them to verify information through credible sources.
Notably, this guide connects users directly with the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), from where users in Pakistan can access verified information regarding natural disasters.
TikTok Pakistan Head of Public Policy and Government Relations Fahad Muhammad Khan Niazi stated: “We understand that during times of crisis, access to timely and accurate information is critical.”
“By partnering with organisations that work directly with disaster response and making these resources more visible to our community, we aim to support informed decision-making and ensure user safety,” Niazi added.

According to the company, the guide will connect users to TikTok’s Safety Centre resources and provide a direct link to TikTok’s Tragic Event Support guide, which provides practical support for individuals impacted by distressing incidents.
With the launch of the search guide, TikTok aims to elevate credible information and create a safer digital environment for its community.
By integrating these tools directly into the user experience, TikTok continues to empower its community with meaningful support and trustworthy information across Pakistan.
