Amazon has revealed the inaugural sneak peek trailer for Fallout, its forthcoming live-action series adapted from the immensely popular video games.
Offering a glimpse into the envisioned post-apocalyptic landscape, the teaser showcases Ella Purnell, known for her role in Yellowjackets, stepping out of Vault 33 to confront the desolate world. Set in Los Angeles, the series unfolds 200 years subsequent to a devastating nuclear catastrophe that reduced Earth to ruins.
This teaser launch follows Amazon's recent release of stills from the show, providing an in-depth portrayal of the characters and the harrowing challenges awaiting them in the desolation. The preview appears to be a promising indicator of the show's treatment of its beloved source material.
Joining Purnell in Fallout's cast are Walton Goggins (renowned for The Hateful Eight) portraying a prominent ghoul character, Aaron Moten (from Emancipation) embodying a Brotherhood of Steel member, and Kyle MacLachlan (known for Twin Peaks) taking on the role of a vault overseer.
Notably, the trailer introduces CX404, a dog prominently featured in both the video and promotional materials, carrying a severed hand. Fallout is scheduled to debut on Prime Video on April 12 next year.
