Adobe introduces AI-centric video tools to outdo Meta, OpenAI

Adobe has stepped into the fledgling field of AI, as it recently rolled out the generative AI model for generating excellent, high-quality videos from text prompts. Moreover, the Firefly Video Model is also set to outdo its competitors, OpenAI's Sora and AI tools from ByteDance and Meta.

Adobe aims to distinguish itself by efficiently utilising models trained on its native data while ensuring commercial use. 

OpenAI Swarm framework: New open-source method for autonomous AI

OpenAI has diversified its ecosystem, by introducing the Swarm Framework, an open-source toolkit for orchestrating and creating, a smart multi-agent AI system that independently completes various tasks within the blink of an eye with reduced limitations in reasoning in contrast to the other AI models. 

It has enabled an agentic AI, powering a shift from SaaS-based applications to Outcome-as-a-Service (OaaS), which is quite impressive. 

Motorola introduces moto ai features at Lenovo Tech World 2024

Motorola has announced its moto ai suite at the Lenovo Tech World 2024, which is particularly designed to streamline your tasks. It’s a comprehensive suite of AI which is powered by a Large Action Model (LAM), that efficiently enables natural-toned prompts to perform daily based tasks. 

It is important to note, that moto ai suite will be set for beta testing by the last quarter of the year and its capabilities will be improvised based on user’s reviews. 

EU AI Act checker exposes big tech compliance shortfalls

The latest AI checker by Swiss start-up LatticeFlow exposed flaws in generative AI models' compliance with the EU's AI Act, which raised eyebrows over cybersecurity and bias. LatticeFlow's LLM Checker diligently assessed AI models such as OpenAI's GPT-3.5 and Meta's Llama 2. 

Unfortunately, several AI models managed to score poorly in discriminatory output. However, Alphabet-owned Google-backed Claude 3 Opus accomplished the highest score. 

Moreover, Non-compliance could result in €35 million penalty charges. 

Google Gemini Imagen 3 AI model tipped to get major upgrade

Google Gemini is currently under the spotlight, as rumour mills are creating a buzz regarding the Imagen 3 AI model’s major upgrade. This upgraded model will receive a few significant upgrades and will let users address user complaints by allowing image resizing to common ratios like 16:9, rather than just 1:1. However, Imagen 3 still offers an impressive image creation with the upgraded version allowing portrait generation.  

Furthermore, the update will broaden images without even cropping them and will also allow users to easily resize them and get it in their preferred size. 

Robot artist Ai-Da makes history with auction debut at Sotheby's

Ai-Da, the robot artist, recently achieved a significant milestone and created history by auctioning her jaw-dropping artwork at Sotheby's, including a portrait of Alan Turing called "AI God. It is likely to sell between £100,000 and £150,000 ahead of the online sale, running from October 31 to November 7. "Ai-Da's art has raised plenty of questions regarding the strength of AI and its influence on the advanced era.  

Google's NotebookLM receives new upgrade

Google’s AI note note-taking tool, NotebookLM, recently received a significant upgrade and it now offers an updated Audio Overview, that provides personalised user control with the latest. It proficiently works and provides query sources, and lets you explore quotes, receive citations, and deliver a professional piece of work. 

Moreover, Google's Gemini 1.5-powered NotebookLM Business pilot programme rolled out improved security for team projects and resolves your queries within a couple of minutes with AI-centric solutions.   

Claude AI receives major updates with improved functionality

Claude AI received a significant update for its iOS and Android apps and now provides robust functions, and improved personalisation options. Users can also browse the older chats and accordingly get prompts for customised responses. Moreover, ClaudeAI is now available on iPads too with enhanced user productivity.

ChatGPT Windows app rolls out, but only for subscribers

OpenAI has now introduced the ChatGPT Windows app, but only for ChatGPT Plus, Enterprise, Team, and Edu subscribers. However, the app is currently in the testing phase via the Microsoft Store. Moreover, it ensures data encryption, to protect users from scammers. 

Gamechanger: Pakistani startup Traversaal.ai’s Urdu LLM brings AI to non-English users

Traversaal.ai, a Pakistan-based AI venture, is all set to empower all non-English speakers by taking a 

a great step for the enhancement of the country. It achieved a significant milestone by developing Urdu-based AI models to promote the country’s national language. The reason behind the innovative development is to break the language barrier for 2.5 billion non-English speakers. 

Meta introduces new AI model 'Self-Taught Evaluator' 

Meta has launched the latest AI models, including the “Self-Taught Evaluator,” which is particularly designed to lessen human involvement in AI by tearing down complex problems. This well-trained AI model has been guided with AI-generated data and improves accuracy in complex subjects such as science, maths, and even coding. 

Former OpenAI CTO Mira Murati reportedly starts fundraising for her new AI venture

Former OpenAI CTO Mira Murati has reportedly started fundraising for her new AI venture and eyes to raising $100 million, the rumours surfaced a month after she announced her departure from ChatGPT manufacturer, which was followed by the departure of two other top OpenAI officials.
