Xiaomi has officially unveiled the highly anticipated Xiaomi 15 Ultra in China, integrated with top-notch technology and featuring significant upgrades over the Xiaomi 14 Ultra.
The phone boasts a comprehensive suite of cutting-edge features, delivering an enhanced user experience. It comes with a 200MP telephoto camera system, faster processing power, and a sleek design that sets a new standard for flagship smartphones.
Xiaomi 15 Ultra specs
Xiaomi 15 Ultra features an enlarged 6.73-inch 3200x1440px AMOLED panel with a 1-120Hz refresh rate and up to 3,200 nits of brightness, offering a vivid and immersive visual experience.
The latest Xiaomi Ultra is powered by a flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite, offering a 45% enhanced performance and as much as 52% lower power consumption. The full-fledged chipset is paired with the 12GB or 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM of storage configuration. There’s either 56GB, 512GB, or 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage.
In terms of battery performance, the recently launched device has received an upgrade capacity which has grown by 17% to a massive 6,000mAh with a similar 90W wired and 80W wireless charging threshold, offering an improved overall performance.
For optics, the recently introduced flagship device features a Leica-tuned quad camera system, with wide, short telephoto, long telephoto, and ultrawide modules. The main camera comes with a 1-inch type 50MP Sony LYT-900 imager with a 23mm lens. Moreover, it supports the similar 200MP Samsung HP9 1/1.4-inch sensor as the one behind the zooms in the vivo X100 Ultra and X200 Pro.
The mid-zoom option has the same 1/2.51-inch IMX858 sensor but the 75mm f/1.8 lens is replaced by a 70mm f/1.8 one, making it a substantial choice for all the photography enthusiasts.
As mentioned earlier, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra is integrated with cutting-edge HyperCore technology that offers enhanced performance, networking, privacy, and more. HyperAI introduces advanced tools, including AI writing - a system-wide assistant that offers copywriting, text polishing, summary, transcribing of meetings, and translation.
It is important to note that the Chinese tech manufacturer will offer four generations of Android system updates and six years of security updates to the flagship Xiaomi 15 series.
Xiaomi 15 Ultra price
The price of Xiaomi 15 Ultra is CNY 6,499 (approximately €854, £700, INR 78,000, $895) for 12/256GB model, while the 16/512GB model is available for CNY 6,999 (approximately €920, £760, INR 84,000, $960). The 16GB/1TB model costs CNY 7,799 (approximately €1,025, £850, INR 93,600, $1,070).
The Xiaomi 15 Ultra sports tantalising hues, including Black or White and a special Silver Chrome Edition. The Black supports a grippy textured back, while the White has an etched surface.
Xiaomi is reportedly planning for broader expansion to global markets on Sunday.
