Google is set to announce its new Pixel lineup at the Made by Google 2025 event, but this year's launch comes with an unexpected twist. Google has announced that popular late-night host Jimmy Fallon will be the official host of the launch, a first for a celebrity to host the annual Pixel event.
The event will take place on Wednesday in Brooklyn, New York, where it will begin at 1pm ET. You may remember a quote from Fallon: he not only said the products will already be teased, but he will talk about "the secret ones"; presumably, this hints at surprises for Google hardware fans.
In relation to the 10 series Pixel and Pixel Watch, as well as AI software updates, tech watchers speculate about the announcements. Fallon's comments, however, suggest something else is coming.
Google itself has already stirred excitement with a teaser video posted on X (formerly Twitter). The short video contained glimpses of devices as well as the announcement of special guests, including NBA star Stephen Curry and Formula 1 racer Lando Norris.
Fallon added to the buzz by sharing a YouTube Short on his channel, confirming he will “tell us all about the new product launches”.
This combination of tech innovation and entertainment is unusual for Google, which typically keeps its launches simple and product-focused.
