Citing a strategic change in its business strategy, Yamaha Motor Pakistan (Private) Limited declared on Tuesday that it will stop producing motorcycles in the nation, effective immediately.
The company thanked its esteemed customers for their steadfast support and loyalty over the years in an official statement. Yamaha Motor Pakistan said, "We would like to inform you that we will no longer be manufacturing motorcycles due to a change in our business policy."
Although production has been halted, the company assured customers that warranty services will continue to be offered in accordance with current policies and authorised dealers will continue to supply spare parts.
Moreover, the company also confirmed, "We will continue to do our utmost to support your motorbike experience."
Given Yamaha's strong position in the Pakistani motorcycle market, this development is expected to have a big impact.
