Following a successful rollout in Brazil and other Latin American countries in March, Apple is now expanding its Apple Search Ads feature to several new regions.

What is Apple Search Ads?

Apple Search Ads offers a platform for advertising iOS apps on the App Store. It is a channel to attract users and grow awareness of the product and a source of valuable data. According to the company, Search Ads help developers deliver up to 2x as many impressions as organic search.

Apple Search Ads now available in more countries

With the expansion, Search Ads now serves a total of 91 countries. However, Apple developers can start buying Apple Search Ads for placement in these additional countries.

  • Turkey
  • Algeria
  • Mongolia
  • Morocco
  • Slovakia
  • Uzbekistan
  • Latvia
  • Slovenia
  • Estonia
  • Kyrgyzstan
  • Kenya
  • Iceland
  • Bulgaria
  • Ghana
  • Bahrain
  • Iraq
  • Cyprus
  • Armenia
  • Luxembourg
  • Nepal
  • Sri Lanka

Now, developers in these regions can target customers in their domestic regions as well. Previously, users had to sign up to Search Ads to begin campaigns that were displayed internationally.

Notably, the Search Ads feature was criticised by the public when it was first added to the app’s product pages two years ago as it was placed next to professional Indie software.
