Just over the past few, the renowned Chinese artificial intelligence (AI) chatbot DeepSeek surpassed the popularity of even the most well-established AI tycoons like ChatGPT, Gemini and many more, but does it concern you how much profit is the newcomer AI startup making?

To set aside the worries of those eager, DeepSeek on Saturday lifted the veil off some of its cost and revenue data regarding its super hit V3 and R1 AI models.

According to Reuters, DeepSeek on Saturday posted a theoretical cost-profit ratio of up to 545% per day despite earlier claims of a notably lower revenue.

That said, the theoretical revenue generated by DeepSeek's V3 and R1 AI models is $562,027 per day, which is estimated to add up to $200 million in yearly revenue for the company.

The disclosure comes to be the first-ever around the Chinese AI giant's profit margins from not-so-demanding "inference" tasks, a phase following the training of AI models to equip them with the ability to make predictions or perform tasks.

Analysts in the AI space claimed that the release of DeepSeek's profit margins is expected to stir AI stocks outside China, which underwent a tremendous downturn last month, led by DeepSeek's web and app version, powered by R1 and V3 models, and rose to popularity.

The selling wave of tech stocks in the US, as well as worldwide, was primarily triggered by the company's claims of its below-$6 million investment in chips used to train the model, which is merely a fraction of a typical US-based AI startup like OpenAI and others.
