Loosing important contacts can be a stressful experience, especially if you rely on them for work or personal connections. Fortunately, Gmail and Google Workspace offer a convenient way to restore deleted contacts.

Whether you accidentally deleted a contact or want to recover an old address book, this guide will walk you through the simple steps to restore your deleted contacts.

Here’s a step-by-step guide to restore 

  1. Log in to your Gmail or Google Workspace account
  2. Click on the Google Contacts icon
  3. On the left sidebar, Click on "More" and then "Trash" form the drop-down menu.
  4. Select the contacts you want to restore. You can select multiple contacts at once.
  5. Click on the "Restore" button at the top of the page to move the selected contacts back to your main contact list.
  6. Confirm the restoration
  7. Verify the restored contacts

Restore deleted numbers on Android

  1. Open the Phone Settings app on your Android device.
  2. Scroll down and select "Accounts."
  3. Choose the account that contained the deleted contacts (e.g., Google account, Samsung account, etc.).
  4. Tap on "Contacts."
  5. Tap on "Restore contacts."
  6. Select the backup file that contains the deleted contacts (the file should be dated before the contacts were deleted).
  7. Tap "Restore" to restore the deleted contacts.
