The Student Financial Aid Office (SFAO) of the University of Karachi (UoK) and IO Digital Private Limited on Thursday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for the development of a dedicated website for KU's SFAO to improve scholarship accessibility for students.

With the new portal, students can easily get access to scholarships, as IO Digital will consolidate all information about different categories of scholarships, forms, instructions, and eligibility criteria on a centralised web platform.

It should be noted that the link to this website will be available on the main website of the UoK.

Earlier on Tuesday, UoK inaugurated the state-of-the-art Center of Digital Forensic Science & Technology (CDFST), which will provide specialised training in digital forensics and technology to students, researchers, and law enforcement agencies.

The KU Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Khalid Mahmood Iraqi said: "The CDFST will emerge as a regional hub for research and training in digital forensics, contributing not only to academic and research advancement but also playing a vital role in meeting the national security needs of Pakistan."

He noted that various departments of the UoK, including Computer Science, Criminology, Mass Communication, Psychology, the Institute of Clinical Psychology, Genetics, Biotechnology, and Biochemistry, and others, will work closely with the CDFST.
