Pakistan Railways (PR) has made significant upgrades at Lahore Railway Station, providing more comfort and ease to travelers.

With the orders of Federal Minister for Railway Muhammad Hanif Abbasi, Pakistan Railways made these changes to enhance the experience of passengers.

According to PR spokesperson Babar Raza, the Lahore Station now has better facilities for all kinds of travelers, looks more modern and nicer.

It is worth noting that a new Commercially Important Person (CIP) Lounge has been made particularly for business and premium class passengers, which can accommodate 70 people at a time.

Two air-conditioned waiting halls have been added too, and together they can hold 250 passengers.

Moreover, there’s a family hall with 100 seats, a women-only hall with 70 seats, and a men’s hall with 80 seats.

To provide clean drinking water, two water coolers have been fixed at platforms 2 and 4. Four new escalators are also included at the same platforms, so old people, women, and those carrying bags can move easily.

To make services better and the station look nice, six fibre-made stalls have been placed at platforms 2 and 4.

The main porch of the station is now a family waiting area. It has three chiller air conditioners, two modern washrooms, an LED TV, and a calm place for families.

More upgrades include a new ATM through Habib Bank and modern SMD screens at the main porch to show “real-time train arrival and departure updates.”
