Pokemon GO is gearing up for its annual Halloween event, and while fans were hoping for the debut of the beloved Ghost/Fairy-type Pokemon, Mimikyu, it seems they'll have to wait a little longer.

Despite numerous requests from the community, Niantic has confirmed that Mimikyu won't be making its appearance at this year's event.

However, there's still plenty to be excited about! Morpeko, a Gen 8 Pokemon with a unique ability to switch between Electric and Dark types during battle, is set to be introduced. This would add a new layer of strategy and excitement to the game.
