In a historic step for Pakistan’s artificial intelligence ecosystem, innovators Pro AI Global Co-Founder Ammara Aftab and AI Researcher Faraz Hussain Buriro have launched EvalKaar, the country’s first AI judge.

The system aims to transform how projects, startups, and innovations are assessed — fairly, transparently, and without human bias.

EvalKaar features

EvalKaar is a multimodal AI evaluation system that can analyse text, audio, video, images, and source code to provide a complete and data-based judgement.

The system evaluates essential indicators of a project, including technical feasibility, innovation potential, market readiness, and scalability, using machine learning, natural language processing, and computer vision.

Within minutes, the system provides a summary score and recommendation based on this evaluation.

EvalKaar was deployed at the Ministry of Planning, Development and Special Initiatives during the Uraan AI Hackathon in early 2023, where it successfully evaluated hundreds of AI projects.

This was the first national use of AI for large-scale, transparent and accountable evaluation. “EvalKaar is not just a tool; it’s a milestone in Pakistan’s Responsible and Ethical AI journey. It aligns with Pakistan’s National AI Policy and UNESCO’s AI Ethics Framework, supporting the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by promoting fairness and innovation,” said Aftab.

Whereas, Hussain added, “EvalKaar embodies precision and accountability. Its multimodal architecture enables unbiased evaluation across text, visuals, and code; we envision its use in universities, startup incubators, and examination bodies nationwide.”

EvalKaar's alignment with SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 9 (Innovation and Infrastructure), and SDG 16 (Strong Institutions) highlights Pakistan's role in ethical AI innovation and reinforces its commitment to responsible digital transformation.
