In a remarkable development in the realm of satellite-connected internet, Tesla boss Elon Musk grabbed headlines with a demonstration of the class-leading calibre of satellite internet.

Musk joined a video call aboard Qatar Airways’ first Starlink-enabled flight to boast Starlink's capability of delivering high-speed internet at an startling altiutde of 38,000 ft.

Connecting from his home to Qatar Airways CEO Badr Mohammed Al-Meer who was on a flight from Doha to London Heathrow, the Starlink founder touted the satellite company's internet prowess.

With the attainment of an extreme level of internet speed, SpaceX introduced a breakthrough in the provision of both wired and wireless internet services.

During the connection established to an in-flight video call, the internet speed tested and recorded peaked at 215 Mbps, which is way faster than home internet connections.

Citing sources, Business Insider reported that the Starlink Wi-Fi met up with speeds sufficient for live streaming, video calls, and online gaming aboard the Boeing 777.

The Qatar Airways flight provided all passengers across cabin classes with free Starlink internet, securing a notable leap from the standard $10 inflight WiFi offered by the airline previously that delivered nearly 5 Mbps speeds.
