The Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training (MoFE&PT) has decided to expand the Pink Bus Service Islamabad, a free public transport option for working women and girl students.

The MoFE&PT has also planned to increase the bus routes to rural and peri-urban areas of Islamabad to improve accessibility and provide a safer commuting service.

The Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif-led government aims to give female commuters from remote areas equal access to secure and convenient travel options through the Pink Bus Service.

In a step to expand the service, the ministry plans to hire trained female staff and security personnel on all buses to give a safe and comfortable commuting environment.

Passengers will have a feedback and complaint mechanism through which they can share their experience and report issues.

These advancements are set to help ensure service improvement, transparency, and responsiveness to the needs of women passengers.

The Pink Bus Service Islamabad is currently based on 22 buses across five major rural sectors of ICT.

The MoFE%PT is also planning to add more buses during rush hours, expand routes, adjust service schedules, and raise public awareness about bus stops and route information.
