Islamabad to face power suspension as IESCO releases new schedule

Temporary electricity outage will impact multiple feeders, grid stations and transmission lines

Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) on Tuesday issued a temporary power suspension plan for different areas on November 26 (Wednesday) due to ongoing maintenance and development work in the federal capital. 

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), IESCO shared that the temporary outage will impact multiple feeders from morning to afternoon for the ongoing work, with an aim to provide consumers electricity without any interruption in the near future.  

Electricity shutdown schedule in Islamabad 

The electricity supplying company stated that power supply will remain suspended from 9am to 2pm in these feeders:

  1. Capital Development Authority (CDA) Office
  2. Asian Development Bank Pakistan (ADBP)
  3. Wapda Colony
  4. Shams 
  5. F-7
  6. Sohdran
  7. Koral
  8. Athal
  9. CDA Pump
  10. Melody
  11. Islamabad Club-I
  12. F-8 Markaz
  13. G-9/1
  14. H-8
  15. New I-11
  16. G-11/3
  17. F-11/4
  18. Bhara Kahu
  19. Bhara Kahu-II
  20. Pindi Point
  21. Beirut
  22. TDCP
  23. PAF
  24. Shahdara
  25. Park View 
  26. Golf City 

Meanwhile, outages will affect Commercial Centre, B Block, Shamsabad, Shaheed Mohammad Deen, Fazaia, KRL, Gangal, Tariq Shaheed, Dhok Hukmdad, Liaquat Bagh, Gulshanabad, Sarafa Bazar, Jinnah Road, Alamabad, Qureshiabad, Asghar Mall, Zeeshan Colony, Tench Bhatta, Race Course, Capt Aamir Shaheed, G-15, Pind Hoon, Benazir Bhutto Shaheed and CDL Colony feeders from 9am to 2pm.

"Inconvenience is regretted," IESCO wrote, adding that power supply may be restored earlier if work is completed ahead of given time.
