Artificial intelligence (AI) is being used by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) branches in Rawalpindi and Islamabad to increase the transparency and effectiveness of their investigational procedures.
The NAB claims this is a significant development that aids in complicated financial crimes.
Investigators can now more quickly and precisely analyse banking data, monitor financial trials, and track illegal money transfers by using AI tools.
"These technologies are enabling our team to uncover hidden links and suspicious transactions that were previously difficult to trace," said a NAB official.
The Accountancy Bureau recently spoke about the possible use of AI in their investigations at the National Centre of Artificial Intelligence (NCAI).
NCAI chief Dr Ayaz praised NAB's proactive embrace of innovation in its accountability procedures during the visit.
He promised that the NCAI would provide NAB with all the technical assistance it needs to develop into Pakistan's finest anti-corruption agency.
A NAB spokesman underlined the agency's resolve to recoup public funds and step up its fight against corruption with the use of modern digital technologies.
Significantly, the incorporation of AI is already producing favourable outcomes, as investigations are becoming more rapid, transparent, and outcome-orientated.
This advancement demonstrates NAB's dedication to using technology to strengthen its anti-corruption initiatives.
