In line with the consistently evolving landscape of high-end gadgets and smartphones, preferences too seem to be evolving with time, revealing a new epoch where tech enthusiasts are more inclined towards slim and sleek devices rather than opting for those with heavy-duty build.
Considering that, OnePlus seems more considerate of modern-day tech consumers, as a freshly surfaced rumour suggests that the OnePlus Open 2 is likely to be thinner than the Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold.
The speculation of a remarkable build does not stop there, as a separate leak also claimed that the next OnePlus Open could beat the impending Honor Magic V3 in terms of thinness.

As it stands, there's no harm in interpreting that the OnePlus Open sequel would fit a large battery into the pocket-friendly phone (not speaking of the costs).
Citing Digital Chat Station, a credible leaker, 9to5Google reported that the OnePlus Open 2 is expected to be “9.xmm” thick while specifying that the smartphone would register a thickness which won't go beyond 10mm.
The current OnePlus Open comes with an 11.5mm thickness, which is already slimmer than the Pixel 9 Pro Fold, the thinnest foldable in markets such as the US.
Apart from that, the rumour of the OnePlus Open 2 being thinner than the Honor Magic V3 got a clean validation from Honor announcing that the Magic V3 would be 9.2mm thin.
