Pakistan has decided to expand its trade and investment footprint in Saudi Arabia, with more than 100 Pakistani IT companies now formally registered to operate in the Kingdom, aligning with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 goals of digital transformation and innovation.

The firms are aligning with the Saudi business network to develop tech solutions in fintech, e-commerce, and software development. Underway is the establishment of a professional network of Saudi IT professionals and Pakistani service providers, with the focus on long-term collaboration and joint ventures.

Export promotion is taking place at the level of the Trade and Investment Section at Pakistan’s Consulate General in Jeddah, with sectors such as minerals, marble, and construction materials coming into focus.

This includes webinars and business-to-business (B2B) meetings, which showcase Pakistan’s export capacity in Himalayan salt, decorative stones, and other construction materials coming into focus.

This follows a number of Saudi buyers attending the Health Engineering and Minerals Show (HEMS) in Lahore. This speaks to increasing interest in Pakistan's mining and related construction sectors.

To assist in the process of becoming export-ready, the Trade Mission has shared extensive product lists from the Made in Pakistan exhibition in Jeddah, along with market reports targeting exports of sports goods, textiles, and industrial fans.

Additionally, the exporters are being provided guidance on Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organisation (SASO) certification in markets where these are necessary for entry.
