In a notable milestone for Pakistan's tech and gaming landscape on a global stage, Fasieh Mehta, a seasoned tech veteran, has joined Google as the Industry Head for Mobile Apps & Gaming – Pakistan.

It's worth noting that the Pakistani tech and gaming genius is operating from Google’s Asia-Pacific headquarters in Singapore.

Before securing a leadership role at Google, he worked at Epic Games, where he represented Pakistan and played a vital role in promoting the local gaming industry internationally.

Mehta's appointment at Google underscores a broader global recognition of Pakistan’s flourishing app development and gaming sector.

The surprising development comes amid a recent uptick in Pakistan's local talent developing everything from chart-topping mobile apps to globally acclaimed games, gaining traction from world-class tech giants like Google.

Citing sources with familiarity with the matter, Tech Juice noted that Mehta was chosen after a rigorous 10-month recruitment process, going through multiple interviews and a comprehensive evaluation.

The reason behind such a tedious hiring process was to find someone capable of representing and expanding Pakistan’s mobile apps and gaming vertical on a global stage.

The Pakistan tech pioneer expressed in a LinkedIn post that this role is more than just a career move, stating that it is an opportunity to connect local talent with global tools, insights, and resources.

With Mehta commending Pakistan's abundant talent and his commitment to helping publishers, studios, and developers transform their ambitions into global success stories, this appointment signals that the world is recognising and valuing Pakistani talent in the tech space.
