The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) has directed all universities to ensure transparent and foolproof arrangements for the upcoming Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) 2025.
PMDC has advised universities to provide foolproof arrangements for the smooth conduct of MDCAT 2025, with a focus on fairness, security, and efficiency in the nationwide exam process.
According to a PMDC, universities have been asked to review and to implement actions, to the fullest extent, to ease concerns about a fair and safe examination.
On Facebook, the PMDC President Prof. Dr Rizwan Taj stated that all examination venues must have appropriate seating, sufficient lighting, ventilation, and power backup to assist candidates.
Security will be enhanced with the use of signal jammers, CCTV cameras, and monitoring teams to prevent candidates from utilising electronic devices in the examination.
The Council instructed universities to provide candidates with bubble sheets with carbon copies and to ensure that the question paper is only opened in the presence of witnesses.
Immediately after the examination, all answer sheet materials will be gathered, secured and retained for record integrity for 12 months.
PMDC insisted that all results be shared within one week's time following the examination and that a report of the analyses of the test be submitted within ten days.
The official answer key will be uploaded to the university's website immediately following the examination, so candidates can retrieve it to verify answers they made as part of the examination process.
The admission process will be overseen by provincial authorities and universities and needs to be finished on or before February 28, 2026.
