Instagram has officially launched a new feature that lets creators pin their own comments on posts and Reels, providing an enhanced experience on the platform.

Instagram Head Adam Mosseri announced that "the update now gives creators the power to highlight important information, spark meaningful discussions, or provide additional context."

Instagram's new update

Instagram has expanded its comment pinning feature, previously limited to audience comments, to include creator comments on posts. This advancement provides creators with greater control over their content.

According to Instagram, this simple yet effective tool ensures key messages remain at the top of the comment section.

The new feature from Instagram opens up fresh opportunities for creators to drive engagement and guide conversations.

It is worth noting that pinned comments can be used for sharing important links, providing extra context, or encouraging specific interactions like "tag a friend" or "check the link in bio."

By keeping these comments at the top, creators can advance their messaging, control discussion tone, and boost overall engagement. The feature will ensure that your own comments don't get buried under a flood of replies.

Previously, Instagram launched its iPad app, which has all the familiar elements like feed, stories and messaging, but Meta claims they redesigned the app with larger displays and an emphasis on Reels.

Moreover, the Instagram iPad app supports a multi-column design for DMs, notifications, and browsing and provides a much quicker and smoother experience than the iPhone version.
