The Sindh government has announced that all public and private educational institutions under the administrative control of the School Education and Literacy Department will remain closed on August 15 (20th Safar 1447 AH) in observance of the Chehlum of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA).
The closure of educational institutions is being executed as a token of acknowledgement for the sanctity of holy occasions.
This decision aims to honour the significant occasion commemorating the martyrdom of Imam Hussain.
According to a notification issued by the government on August 8, schools and colleges in the province are expected to resume normal operations the following day.
