GameSir has released version 5.0 of their GameHub app, adding full Steam support, including facets of the ecosystem such as cloud saves and online play.

The existence of this Steam integration enables gamers to play their Steam titles on their Android devices and maintain their game progress, synchronising it across devices, including the Steam Deck.

The update is optimised for Hollow Knight: Silksong. The improvements from the last update include a more refined control experience that utilises vibration, adaptive trigger feedback, and hot-swap functionality.

Moreover, a new native rendering mode promises to reduce latency, provide a more stable frame rate, and (according to GameSir) a smoother gameplay experience overall.

Players who have gotten their hands on the new app report mixed feelings. While some users claimed that Steam cloud saves and achievements were directly syncing without any problems, others experienced issues swapping between devices, especially concerning the Steam Deck. The most common fix for this has been disabling Steam's "lightweight" mode.

On the performance side of this update, many users seem to experience performance boosts. A player mentioned their average frame rate while playing GTA V increased from 30 fps to nearly 60 fps post-update.
