Updated light diesel, kerosene oil prices in Pakistan from December 1

Latest reduction in price of light diesel and kerosene oil would benefit, along with providing relief to transporters, households and industries

The federal government on Sunday announced a reduction in the prices of light diesel and kerosene oil for the next fortnight (December 1 to December 15).

According to the official notification, light diesel oil (LDO) has seen a decrease by Rs7.03 per litre, making the new price Rs163.07 per litre. Similarly, kerosene oil has become cheaper by Rs1.98 per litre, making the new price at Rs192. 36 per litre. 

Officials stated that the price cut reflect adjustment based on global oil trends and exchange rate movement.

It should be noted that the latest reduction in the price of light diesel and kerosene oil would benefit and give relief to transporters, households and industries. However, analysts note that future adjustments will continue to depend on volatility in international oil markets.

Meanwhile, the latest petrol price in Pakistan from December 1 is Rs263.45, and high-speed diesel (HSD) will be available at Rs279.65 per litre.
