In continuation of efforts to expand its direct flight network globally, Pakistan's direct flights to Bangladesh are on the verge of taking off.

The resumption of Pakistan's direct flights to and from Bangladesh remained a focal point during a meeting held in Islamabad between Special Assistant to the Chief Adviser of Bangladesh Anisuzzaman Chowdhury and Pakistan's Federal Minister of State for Finance and Railways Bilal Azhar Kayani.

Both sides emphasised the importance of direct flights in boosting economic ties and facilitating bilateral trade.

The meeting also focused on expanding collaboration in key sectors such as trade, energy, and transportation, aiming to forge long-term partnerships for sustainable development.

Kayani and Chowdhury reaffirmed their commitment to improving economic and diplomatic relations between the two countries, highlighting that deeper engagement would be beneficial to the people of both countries.

The Bangladeshi delegation included key officials, while Pakistan was represented by Hasan Muhammad Mohsin, the economic advisor to the Ministry of Finance.

All the key officials expressed optimism about revitalising bilateral relations through enhanced trade connectivity, setting the stage for a promising future between Pakistan and Bangladesh.
