After waiting for a long period, Google Home is set to integrate home screen widgets that allow you to rapidly control smart devices from your home screen on an iPhone or iPad.
The favourites widget provides “Quick control of your actions, automation, and devices.” It coincides with tappable tiles in small (4), medium (8), and large (9-12) configurations. Each card is said to have an icon, name, and device state.
For lighting, blinds, and other relatable smart items, you can click the tile to enable/disable directly from your home screen. Other times, as marked by a chevron in the corner, open the device control page. The widgets launched with version 3.24.101 of Google Home for iPhone and iPad.
